I don’t usually make a detailed weekly spread but when I got a few of these stickers I couldn’t resist! My monthly spread is usually the page I take time over and enjoy spending time designing and drawing and my weekly notes are a scrawl of my to dos and my meal outlines! I did enjoy this though!
HERE ARE SOME TIPS FOR YOUR WEEKLY OUTLINE:
1. Draw out a basic form in pencil first. This allows you to change positions or try out ideas before you commit to a final design.
2. Use a ruler to draw all your lines – I don’t always do this as I like a drawn line too – but for keeping my ideas ordered and my layout simple I like a straight line!
3. Combine drawings and doodles with stickers or tape. It gives a lovely mixed media finish and a good texture to your design.
4. Rub out your pencil lines when done – this goes without saying but just in case you forget!
5. Use boxes and outlines that you will use – I ALWAYS need a to do list or I forget my jobs! I also like a meal list as cooking is one of my least favourite things but when I know what I have planned to make it takes he stress out of the decision making!
6. Mix it up! Change ideas, google ideas or go to Pinterest. SO many people have done amazing design which can trigger an idea for your own outline. Don’t be afraid to try something out of your comfort zone or different than you would normally try! What is the worst that could happen!?
