August! How did we get here!!!
So! I am really interested in if you set goals for your month and if so how you go about deciding on them! I have been getting back into my bullet journaling and I love to make lists – it helps a forgetful soul like myself! Bullet journaling definitely ticks off a few of my soulful habits – it keeps things simple and clear but also allows me to experiment with titles, layouts and lettering to channel my creative outlets!
Here are a few of mine:
simple
I have a new progress journal from Hunt and Gather to keep a track of my daily business to do list. I have found that I use a lot of ‘fringe’ moments which means it feels like my business permeates everything and I feel I need to get better at chunking my time so I have periods of time in the day where I cut off from the things I ‘should’ do and simply rest and unwind.
GOAL: USE MY JOURNALS TO CHUNK PERIODS OF TIME
natural
I have now been pursuing a more natural home for a couple of years and have slowly been making changes into make up and skincare. SO many things in our home now are safe and natural products and I love that I can stand over the decisions I have made for my family in this area. I am focusing on my garden in August – I want my outdoor space to be a place where I can find some solace and on a very practical level I would like to grow and plant another raised bed and begin to think about autumn foods and flowers.
GOAL: PLAN MY AUTUMN PLANTING
creative
I chatted on my monthly newsletter about this a little – I have found that my creative outlets have been the ones I have squeezed out of my days. I perhaps need to reflect on that – I feel creativity can be reflected in our homes and the way we dress or plant our gardens or cut posies into our homes….it looks different for everyone. But I think for me I feel it has been at the bottom of my list and I would like to change that this month – maybe call it a bit of self care!
GOAL: TAKE 5 MINS EACH DAY TO DO SOMETHING CREATIVE
