So I have had so many questions about my last post on instagram for bullet journaling! What it is, how I use it, why I like it?
I have popped a few spreads and ideas below to let you see a few ideas. I have linked to their websites if you click on the pictures. There is also a wee video of how I made my June cover at the end of this post if you want to have a look!
Despite bullet journaling for over the course of a couple of years I have to be honest…I had stopped. I loved creating monthly covers, laying out my weekly plans and I loved everything being set out in a visual, clear way – I knew what I had to do and seeing things ticked off my list brought great satisfaction! But I fizzled out and I don’t really know why….maybe I felt weird self inflicted pressure to have a creative monthly cover or beautifully laid out spreads. I’m not really actually very sure, but what I did find was that I was dropping balls because I had stopped. Because, really, I am a very absent minded person…things get forgotten, not intentionally – they just slip off my radar!
And so, I decided that to feel in control I needed to be intentional about getting through my task lists again. I could be sure of what I needed to do and whether it was actually done or not! I needed to get my bullet journal rhythm back!
Because the beauty of bullet journaling is that everything is in one place. You can keep track of what you need in whatever way you like. It allows for creativity and abundance or simplicity and spartan. And I like that.
I find it good for my mind.
I find it good for my creativity.
I find it good for my productivity and keeping me focused.
I’m going to tag in a couple of brilliant posts to get you started if you are interested because you will soon see there is a world of bullet journaling ideas out there. Don’t let yourself get overwhelmed though, it starts with a notebook and a pen. And not even a fancy notebook or pen! It is, at its heart, a way of organising and, for me, simplifying! So keep it as easy and as manageable as you can….
This is a great place to get started!
I also loved this on minimalist bullet journalling – this is so similar to how I drew a lot of my monthly covers too!
And if you feel ‘non-artistic’ then this could be a great place for you to begin!
Pinterest is a great place to start and will give you a wealth of ideas but do remember it is good to just get started…you do it for you – to bring some simplicity and rhythm to your life. Put a pen to paper and see where it takes you!
Here’s a quick video to show you how I made mine….
I would love to hear if you start it up…tag me in on some posts or leave me a comment here and I will come and check it out!
Have a lovely day guys,
Janice xx

Yesterday I found myself perusing one of my beloved issues of Artful Blogging and came across your article (2018 issue). I searched your blog and much to my surprise, found that you are still here blogging! In this day when so many lovely blogs are no longer active, I was beyond delighted to see that yours is not one of them. This space, filled with so much inspiration and beauty…I’m so very happy I’ve discovered you!
Now…I must catch up on all this inspiration and loveliness!
Take care,
April
