Oh my word…I can’t believe I’m getting to this and it already past the middle of June!!! It feels like I did my May prompts only days ago but that maybe tells the state of my mind – on catch up mode!
+ home I think at this time of year it is a clear up in advance of the kids being off on their summer holidays. I don’t like to be doing anything that takes me away from summer walks and family time – it’s basic cleaning when everyone is at home!
I still haven’t cleared all the seasonal clothes into the attic although I did get them sorted last month. I also want to buy anything we need for our hols so I’m not running around like a mad thing the week before we leave.
+ garden I am watering like crazy because it has been very dry. I am planting out some lavender and some seedlings that my dad was growing for me in his greenhouse. My roses are in bud and my one flower on the peony has blossomed beautifully – so in awe of this simple process of nature.
+ make I have a few things to mend – including a bunny arm for my littlest but really I am enjoying styling and creating photographs at the minute; using my dslr and experimenting. Maybe I should make this a creative prompt rather than simply ‘make’ as that would embrace all aspects of creativity.
+ gather We have been so busy this month that this has dropped down the list somewhat but what I have decided is that I need to carve out some time as hubby and wife team to get away…even if it is out for a walk. A bit of breathing space away from the noise of kids and work of the house that allows for conversation and connection. I have booked in a babysitter once and am planning another before we head on our hols.
+ away Because we go to Switzerland and France in a matter of weeks I am focused on organising for that. Local ‘aways’ have become less of a priority but still important for us all to get into the fresh air and into the woodlands. My holiday list seems long at the minute but hoping I can tick through it quite quickly!
