One of the things I love about this online space is the encouragement to make and create. A little bit of accountability. And sometimes I need that…in the midst of family life, work and other aspects of life that fill the gaps; creativity fades. This space encourages me to keep at it, whether photography, sewing, baking or making…I love looking back and seeing the things I have had a go at making and enjoyed sharing and encouraging my girls to join with me in the process.
This is not my strong point but I have really loved spending a little more time in the kitchen this year and having a go at some new things!
This is so close to my heart and yet I feel I get it wrong as much as I get it right. There are things though at the core of our family which we hold as important and worth pusruit:
freedom and the outdoors
forming bonds
traditions
being yourself
our words
being flexible and embracing seasons of change
Our girls letters for their birthdays:
Abi at 10
Annie at 8
Maddie at 5
I love looking back and reflecting on what was good and what we enjoyed but I also love looking ahead. Trusting that what is ahead is going to be as good, if not better than anything we’ve left behind.
Happy New Year to any of you who read along. I really appreciate your support and hope you’ll join with me in the year ahead.
xx
