I can’t believe that we’re approaching Christmas. The last couple of months seem to have disappeared in a haze and as the days draw nearer and we begin to settle our minds on the approach of Christmas we try to keep things really simple: to avoid the busyness and spend some time doing little things, but really focusing on the bigger things.
Family traditions are a big focus for our family all year round but we really love the traditions that have both evolved naturally and that we have made a distinct effort to do over the festive season.
They aren’t fancy and are probably what many families do, but we place real importance on these little activities and talk about them together will real significance.
Simple things; making pomanders, baking to deliver goodies to our neighbours and some older folk near us who are homebound, a trip to the forest with the kelly kettle to make hot chocolate, a ‘wii championship’. And a new one we started this year that I think we’ll keep as a future festive tradition!
The little things which are the big things.
I find how families celebrate Christmas kelly interesting and before you join a ‘new’ family I think you assume most people do the same things…but I don’t think that’s true!! So what about you…do you do have any fun or quirky family Christmas traditions?? Not that I’m nosy but I’d love to hear!!
xx

we always visit a christmas market, and the christmas eve, as we spend it just as a little family, we eat sooner than habitude and we visit some towns to see christmas lights while everybody's taking dinner at their houses 🙂
