There are many ways to cosy up your home for autumn but this is an especially simple and effective one. It looks perfect on a door or resting on a mantel.
My mum has so many gorgeous hydrangea in her garden. On request, she cut off some of her flowers and left them to dry in her porch for me. Using a moss wreath made a perfect base and the clear string wrapped around the moss allows you to thread through the stems of the hydrangea and hold the whole wreath in place.
You’ll need:
Plenty of hydrangea
A wreath base
Scissors
// Cut each stem leaving enough to feed through the string on the wreath base
// Feed the stem of the flower through a few of the rounds of string so that it remains firmly in place.
// Choose your next head and repeat. Work your way around the wreath, checking for spaces and ensuring the flowers are quite even.
// Trim off any excess stems.
// When you have covered the whole wreath turn it over and make sure you are happy that it is even and that all spaces are filled.
// You can add in extra flowers where needed so don’t be afraid to shift about if needed.
