I feel like I say this all the time but this is such a quick and easy project. I had a couple of leftover strips from a floor cushion I made for our dog from this ikea fleece. The fleece was so soft I thought the extras could be used for a double wrap infinity scarf.
I used a serger for this but in all my previous scarves have made them using a simple straight stitch and they have lasted and are still being worn!
You’ll need:
// fabric (when sewn together my strip measured 148 x 29 cm / 58 x 11 inches), serger or machine, scissors
// sew any short pieces of fabric to create one long piece of about 1.5m
// Fold in half, right sides together, lengthways and sew along the full length to create a long, narrow tube.
// I used the trim off one of the pieces to roll a ‘flower’ which I am going to sew on the final scarf as a bit of extra detail.
// Turn the tube right side out and tuck one end inside the other.
// Hand stitch this closed with a slip stitch. Sew on the flower or any other accessory you may have. To be fair, adding this detail probably makes it a 10/15 min job if you’re a very careful seamstress!!!
