Last week, Donegal was to be filled with free, remote, soul-filling play by the beach. And, despite the rain, it was. Hours were spent in the water both in their wetsuits and out!
It was wet. It was quiet. It was remote and yet it was great.
Their highlight? Rossnowlagh beach…surfing lessons. A two hour slot that had them brimming with pride at their newly acquired skill.
Something different that you don’t get in the weekly humdrum of the school term and something I think they’ll do over and over again.
If you’re ever in the wilds of Donegal…go! It was fab!
