This was one of those impromptu activities that you actually realise they could spend hours on and they keep asking you to do for days after.

I’m not a big gardener so this is novelty for us. They were so engrossed and completely content. The bonus is our front door looks so colourful and gorgeous!
Any other ideas for easy but engaging outdoor activities?

Aw…this is lovely…what a great job they've done. That pot looks fab! I took my girls on a nature walk this afternoon as we had an hour to kill when big brother was at athletics. They loved picking up leaves and acorns and spotting the squirrels in the trees. So simple, completely free and precious…so glad I didn't rush home to squeeze in some housework in that time instead. Ax
