This playhouse has been an idea for a long time…a little place in the garden for the girls to play, to hide out, to gather.
With a very wet winter and a few other factors thrown in, Johnny didn’t get started properly until the spring and even then it has been at times an hour here and there, or at best, a weekend blocked out.
It has been a labour of love…long hours and still a bit to go yet.
But I love it already.
I love watching the girls patter down the wee path and onto the porch.
Sitting with Maddie as she plays with her tea set or lays out her toys on the pallet floor.
Watching the trail of girls running in and out.
With a door and roof to finish…it’s nearly there.
Some curtains to sew and a rug to put down; a cosy place for them to play. A little nook for them to enjoy…to imagine, to fashion adventures.
I love the thought of the conversations, plans and giggles that will emerge from this small corner of the garden and the place it will forge in the memories of their childhood.
A safe place.
Home.

That is so adorable, well worth the time and effort to make one as the girls will get so much play time out of it. Love the letter A too such a nice touch 🙂
