This past weekend was one of the most gorgeous weekends I remember and we did so many simple things.
A night away with friends at my folk’s house and we spent most of it down at the coast…kids bodyboarding, wading in the water, searching for crabs, jumping from rocks and chasing the waves.
We managed to fit in 3 different beaches, took in the views and drank lots of coffee.
It was perfect.
Total money spent was on ice-cream for the kids!
I think sometimes we search for things to do and ways to entertain our children but actually they are quite happy to fit around what we’re doing…they find ways to make a walk along the beach be the most exciting thing they’ve done all week. Sliding down sand dunes on their tummies is the best and greatest thing.
I love watching it and soaking it in. Remembering that they’re happy because they’re with us. We are ‘it’ for them…all they need at the minute. I read this post by Casey and it really resonated with me.
As my mother-in-law often says, ‘you’re their world’.

It’s all they need.
All they want.

Gorgeous photos – and I agree with all of your sentiments! Kids appreciate the simplest things – everyone should take a lesson from them. (Found you on Casey Leigh's link-up – cute blog!!)

How pure and true. I love this. In a culture that so easily complicates things its so tender and sweet to read of someone taking their fam back to the basics. Be blessed! xo thankful I found your blog on Casey's linky!
