We took out a family membership of the National Trust this year and decided at the weekend to visit Rowallene Gardens. If you haven’t checked out their ’50 things to do before you’re 11 3/4′ then you should…some really good outdoorsy ideas!
Although damp and wet underfoot it was a gorgeous morning and the blanket of colours that covered the ground was beautiful. The rhododendron had just passed their best but you still got a glimpse of the colours.
This is the kind of morning we love; a deserted space with lots of chances of adventure. Smells and sights all around and plenty of opportunities to climb trees! A picnic at the end and a warm cup of coffee finished the most unexpectedly idyllic morning.
The hunt for a four leaf clover…
Annie, your wee sense of humour is emerging by the day and I love your eyes sparkling as you held up your four leaf clover you’d found (a three leaf held together with an extra leaf!) – you had us all convinced.
