// Lay in this order before sewing…lining (facing up), zip (facing up) and outer fabric (facing down).
// Sew along these 3 using your zipper foot.
// Turn over and do the same with the other piece of outer fabric and lining.
// Lay the fabric as above with one piece of outer fabric and lining on each side.
// Stitch along the top edge of each side. I did this in a bright green thread to contrast against the red.
// Open the zip half way.
// Line up the 2 pieces of outer fabric and the 2 pieces of lining.
// Using your machine, stitch right the way around the outer edge of your layers.
// Leave a gap on the lining edge.
// Cut your corners diagonally.
// Pull the entire pencil case through the opening in the lining and then sew the opening up neatly.
// Push the lining back into the piece of outer fabric and your pencil case should be complete!
