This is a simple purse tutorial that I adapted as a case for my father-in-law’s iPad mini. Although it seems quite complicated this tutorial from Skip to my Lou is so clear that it makes the whole process really straightforward.
I also used it to make these cute party favours at Annie’s birthday party! To get a curved zip for this project I used a fab tutorial from Design Sponge.
// cut your pieces of outer fabric and lining to your desired measurements
// lay with one piece of lining (face up) zip (face up) and outer (face down)…use your zipper foot to
sew!
// repeat with other piece of lining and outer
// topstitch over leatherette and zip
// open zip half way
// place linings face together and leatherette face together and sew right around, leaving a gap at base of
lining
// stitch gap closed
// push lining into case and you’re done!
