I had quite a few pairs of jeans that I didn’t want to throw out/great fabric to use and a birthday party on Saturday that I wanted to make little purses for…so I combined the two!
Love that, all the fabric is upcycled and the zips I got in a bargain bucket in a local haberdashery.
This tutorial was brilliant to remind me how to sew the linings together.
I wanted to cut out the shape…heart, butterfly, flower and use scraps of fabric behind. In this one I just sewed it stright on but for the rest I have ironed on the shape to give it a bit of strength…hopefully they will withstand little hands rummaging for money!
One down, fifteen more to make!

Wow, were these the going home presents? Lucky girls!!

Yes I made a whole variety of them based on this same idea and they turned out really well…I just wasn't that enthused about them at 2am on the night before the party!!
Got there in the end though and they seemed to like them so that was all that mattered!!
