A definite part of simplifying for me is a clean and clutter free space to live.
I have been so inspired by Mary Beth at Annapolis & Co as she has simplified and cleared their belongings. Check out her blog if you don’t follow already…I find it so inspiring.
So, slowly, I have been working through different parts of our house and our things. I’m nowhere near done but I have been working on a principle of doing a little every day. I have given myself a small job…clear the hat and glove box/the art shelf/the cleaning products. And slowly I have felt a shift…a bit lighter. Knowing that the cupboards are tidy, are clear of stuff I don’t need has definitely helped the mind.
There are some little habits I have that keep on top of specific jobs…I clean and clear the fridge before I restock it from my weekly shop. Little things like that which keep me on top of cleaning that I’d probably mean to get round to but never would!
Somehow when these things are done I can deal with some of the other issues that clutter my mind. But for now, the spring cleaning starts here.
The little jobs.
That will eventually mean the big job is done!
Hoping to lead to a more simple outlook on life.
